CNC aluminum grinding explained
Aluminum is a much softer material than steel, so it can be more easily machined using CNC machines. This makes it ideal for a variety of applications such as the production of aluminum parts, including inserts, extrusion and stamping. The process of cutting and refining the aluminum is done by computer-controlled machines known as CNC mills
CNC mills are used in almost all industries today because they allow for very accurate and repeatable cuts to be made on materials ranging from steel to wood. The process begins with a block of aluminum placed on a table that has been prepared with a pattern that represents what you want your final product to look like
The machine then moves along the table, milling away at the block until it reaches your desired dimensions. Once this process is complete, you can take your new product out of your machine and use it in whatever application you wish.
