This is a pretty gnarly hack. It's not quite home automation, but it's close enough. The idea is to use an Arduino and a motor controller to control the CNC machine's movements
There are plenty of guides out there for CNC machines, but I've never seen a guide for hacking one. This project is a little more challenging than most because it requires soldering and using an arduino, which means you'll have to get your hands dirty with electronics
It also requires some creativity for wiring up the Arduino, since it runs off of an external power supply that doesn't come with it. But once you figure that out, this project will be over in no time!
