Mill Aluminum on a CNC Route
Mill Aluminum on a CNC Router, one of the ways to style your worktable with tools and processors
A milling machine is an automated tool used in metalworking to cut metal shapes. It consists of a spindle (or bed) with a headstock that rotates, and a feed mechanism that feeds the material through the machine. A milling machine uses a cutting tool that cuts material from the end of the tapered or helical cutting tool (in other words, it is a rotary cutter) that moves relative to the axis of rotation (commonly called 'spindle'). The cutting action usually takes place at an angle, but may also be straight-sided or curved. Mill sections can be used as either single pieces or as multiple parts joined together by welding processes such as cold heading, roll bonding and butt welding (see Welding).
