CNC drilling machines are a great way to cut parts for your projects, but they can be a little intimidating. If you're new to the world of CNC machining, then this post is for you
I'll show you how to use your CNC machine and help you get the most from it
1. Know Your Toolin
If you want to get the most out of a CNC drilling machine, then it's important that you know what kind of tooling to use with it
There are two main types: indexable and non-indexable. Indexable tooling enables you to easily change the path that the cutting head follows by moving an indexer around its axis. Non-indexable tooling doesn't allow this flexibility so any changes must be made manually by turning knobs or using other means such as buttons or levers on the side of the machine itself
2. Understand why indexing is importan
Indexing allows you to change where on an object your cutting head will go without having to move any parts in between each pass along that path or where on your part those cuts will be made. This means less work for your operator when compared with non
