When you are starting a boring project, it is important to select the right drill chuck. A good chuck will make your job easier and more efficient. That's why I created this list of 6jt Chuck Drills with descriptions and videos that show how each one performs in different applications
Here are some things to consider when selecting a chuck
1. Chuck Capacit
A chuck's capacity is measured in inches (in) or millimeters (mm). It refers to the number of teeth that can be used for drilling. A larger capacity will allow you to bore larger holes with fewer stops and starts, which saves time and frustration. The most common sizes for 6jt Chuck Drills are 1/2 inch (12mm), 3/4 inch (19mm), 1 inch (25mm), 1 1/8 inch (28mm), 1 1/4 inch (32mm), 1 5/8 inch (35mm) and 2 inches (50mm). If you have a large project that requires large holes or multiple holes, you may need a larger chuck capacity such as 2 inches (50mm).
