Rare metals once mined have gained reputation as scarce assets; however, the existence of these unusual metals wasn't known by all. Gold, silver and platinum are precious, but they are only a few among thousands of rare metals which can't be forged
This is due to their high melting points and low density. For example, tungsten has a melting point of 2,030~C (3,454~F) while copper has a melting point of 1,865~C (3,131~F). Additionally, the density of gold is 19.3 g/cm3 (735.6 lb/ft3) and that of tungsten is 8.4 g/cm3 (346 lb/ft3)
