Forged metal is stronger
The strength of a material depends on how much force it can withstand before breaking. If you hold up a piece of paper, you can probably bend it pretty easily. But if you try to bend the same piece of paper with your bare hands, it will be more difficult. The paper is stronger than your hands because it has been subjected to more stress
The same principle applies to metals: the more you press into a metal object, the more stress it can support before breaking apart. This makes forged metal extremely strong and durable compared with cast iron or wrought iron (which are both cast).
