In this article, I will guide you through the process of cold forging a beautiful and useful project to keep your home handy: a decorative metal flower
The first step is to choose the type of metal for your flower. The most common ones are stainless steel, aluminum and copper. Aluminum and copper are both cost-effective, but only if you buy them in bulk. Stainless steel is expensive but durable; it can withstand extreme temperatures and even rust if you let it get wet
Once you've decided on your material, let's move on to the next step: cutting! This is where most people run into trouble because it's so easy to cut metal when using a hacksaw or other power tool. But this is not necessary with cold forging; all you need is some patience and time. You can use an ordinary pair of scissors (or even wire cutters) for this task if you don't have access to metal files or shears. If you do have access to these tools, then by all means use them! They're much easier than trying to cut metal by hand.
