What is Nibbling Metal Forging
One of the oldest metalworking processes, nibbling produces strong and versatile parts. It involves melting metal in a forge and shaping the material by moving it around with a cold chisel or anvil
This method is also known as partial forging or reheating. It's different from other methods because it uses no heat to melt the metal. The process begins with heating a piece of scrap metal until it reaches its melting point. Then, you'll cut slits in the metal and drop them into your forge. The heat from the forge will slowly reflow inside the cutouts, causing them to bend and deform into new shapes that you can then shape with your tools.
