At 799, the mizuno jpx 900 hot metal is a very good alternative to the pro-level jpx ez forged
The Mizuno Jpx 900 Hot Metal is the latest addition to their Jpx series and it*s aimed at intermediate players who want more control and distance than an all-round model, but who don*t want to pay a premium for it
The Mizuno Hot Metal range was launched in late 2018 as an alternative to their Jpx range which had been around since 2016. It features several key changes, including a heavier head weight (130 grams) and a different shaft that's stiffer than the previous model (the Jpx EZ)
The head shape on the Mizuno Hot Metal is more compact than that of its predecessor, with a smaller sweet spot and lower centre of gravity. The frame is also slightly longer at 44mm when compared with 43mm for the Pro-level Mizuno JPX EZ Forged 3.0 Irons.
