If you want to forge a document, you will need to produce a good replica of the original document and then remove any evidence that it was ever forged. This can be done by using chemicals or even high heat to burn off any residue from the manufacturing process
The third option is more complicated but also more interesting because it involves creating something that looks like an original object without actually being one. For example, imagine wanting to make a fake motorcycle because you don't have one yet but don't want people to know about it because then they might steal your real bike!
