What is the difference between a forged and sintered metal
Forged metals are made by heating steel to a high temperature, then hammering it into shape. The shape of the metal is controlled by the force applied to it, and the amount of pressure exerted. Sintered metals are formed by heating and pressing together sand or other materials under pressure. This process can be done with or without heat.

4/ The metal is cooled and hardened by quenching it in water or oil.
