4-axis cnc machining factories are a type of machine that enables a series of cutting actions to be performed in machines like milling machines and lathes. These systems are chosen when the cutting action desired will cause any other part that is being worked on to move relative to itself, which would not be possible if only single axis drives were utilized
The term 4-axis refers to the fact that all axes are moving at once, not just one as with 2-axis systems. For example, a 4-axis milling machine will have X, Y and Z axes of movement as well as an A axis for rotation about the X axis (which also rotates with it).
