CNC machining is an automated process used to manufacture metal parts. CNC machines transform raw material into finished parts. CNC, unlike conventional machining processes involves the use of cutting tooling that moves, as does the workpiece being machined all under computer control
CNC machining is a very high precision process which involves the use of cutting tooling that moves as does the workpiece being machined under computer control. The cutting tooling can be either stationary or rotary and requires components like spindles etc., which are used for positioning of these tools on a linear guide system known as "X-Y table"
The cutting tooling has to be positioned accurately on the X-Y table so that it can cut out the shape required from a block of raw material at high precision levels by using various feed rates, speeds and feeds in different axes.
