In this blog post we will look at how surface finishes of machines differ when compared to other manufacturing processes
Machines have a number of different surfaces, which can be classified by their working method. For example, some machines are designed to work with the surface in contact with each other (e.g., lathe, milling machine and drilling machinist), while others are made of materials that are not compatible with each other (e.g., milling cutter and grinding wheel)
Another difference between machines is in terms of the way they are used: some machines are used for cutting, drilling or grinding material into shape; others are used for milling or turning material around an axis; and still others are used for forming parts out of metal or other materials by means of stamping, extrusion or welding.
