This is a brief introduction to plastic CNC machining. We will discuss the different types of CNC machines and the materials you can use for your project
CNC stands for Computer Numerically Controlled, which means that the machine is controlled by a computer program. The computer is programmed to move the cutter head and other tooling around in a controlled way on your CNC milling machine. The cutting tool moves back and forth in X and Y directions, and rotates around its axis
The main advantage of using an industrial milling machine is that it can cut almost anything: metal, wood, plastics, etc. This is known as ※milling§ in industry jargon. It*s also called ※CNC Machining§ because your machine has been programmed by computer software to perform these functions.
