There are many ways to make plastic products, and the choice of manufacturing method depends on your product and intended use
Injection molding is the most common method used to create plastic parts, but it's not the only one. There's also cnc molding, which uses computer-controlled equipment to produce plastic parts with intricate designs
CNC vs. Injection Molding: What's the Difference
Injection molds are generally used for mass production of inexpensive products like toys and household items. They're also used in developing countries where labor costs are lower and production costs are lower because there's no need for expensive tooling or specialized equipment
The process typically involves using a metal mold that's heated to high temperatures and filled with molten plastic through a nozzle system. The material flows through the nozzle in a steady stream, cooling as it does so. Once cooled, it hardens into shape and is removed from the mold by pulling it out or breaking away from its supports (this technique can be difficult if you're not careful).
