If you've never made your own CNC chip before, it might seem like a daunting task. But don't worry! It's not as difficult as it sounds. You can make a cnc programmable chip (or “cnc part”) for your CNC machine in just about any type of 3D printer
The first step is to find the right kind of 3D printer that can print in ABS plastic. This material is relatively easy to work with and doesn't require any special skills or equipment to use. The second step is to download an open-source software application called Repetier Host (repetierhost.com). This software will allow you to design your cnc part using CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
In the next section we'll go through the process step by step so that you can follow along at home, but if you'd prefer a more visual guide check out our guide on how to make a cnc programmable chip using CAD software
