Are you a new CNC machinist and want to start by turning some basic (but valuable) parts? This article will show whether it's a good idea, how to set up your programing if you don't have access to the computer and some important tips on turning
If you're new to CNC machining, there are two ways to start
1. Turn a few simple parts in your machine and learn from them
2. Start with something that is more complex than the ones you already know how to do, but still within your capabilities
I recommend option #2 because it allows you to learn what tools and techniques are best suited for each type of part you want to make and gives you experience working with the machine itself before taking on something too complicated or specialized.
