The main parts of the CNC machine are
X,Y and Z axis rods - these move up and down on the frame to cut material. They are made out of wood or metal
Spindle - this spins around to move the material through the machine. It can be made out of wood or metal as well
Feeder - this mechanism moves the material into position for cutting by using a small screw which pushes it into position and then releases it after cutting. The feeder can be made out of wood or metal as well
Titanium wire (or carbon fiber) - this is used for making certain types of plastic parts because it has a high strength-to-weight ratio compared with carbon fiber which is commonly used for this purpose because it's stronger but more expensive than titanium wire which is cheaper but less strong than carbon fiber.
