What is a CNC Turning Center
A CNC turning machine is used in a variety of industries. The machine uses servomotors, spindle and guide blocks as well as other small parts to produce parts from a piece of material. It can be used for cutting small stock, such as precision tubing. It also can cut large pieces of material such as square bar stock that needs to be turned into a radius or oval shape to fit within an existing opening
The machine works by moving the material through the machine in increments until it reaches the desired shape or size. The motion is controlled by servomotors, which electronically control the motions of the spindle and guide blocks using sensors attached to them. These sensors tell the machine where they are located so that it knows how much force is required for each position on the spindle and guide blocks.
