Hey there, I'm a CNC machine designer and machinist who wanted to share how I made the aluminum machining jig for my own projects. The project was based on two previous CNC machine designs which are very popular and common in industry due to their reliability and accuracy. This project is based on the original design by G邦nther Wagner from Germany
The main reason why I wanted to create this aluminum machining jig was because it would enable me to have a better control of my CNC machine's spindle, especially when making prototypes or small runs
This aluminum machining jig is designed using V-blocks which ensure that your workpiece stays flat while being machined, as well as providing you with a great amount of rigidity during operation. This keeps your workpiece from sagging or drooping as it moves along the table during operation. It also helps to keep your toolpaths concentric and parallel (which is important for accurate results)
In addition, this aluminum machining jig has been designed with an internal feature which can be used for clamping down your workpiece during operation if needed (such as when making prototypes or small runs). The clamps are mounted on two different axes at 90 degrees from each
