I am doing research on metal forges, so I thought it might be useful to share with you some information about one of my favorite metal forges. The forge I'm getting ready to put in my shop is the Laconian Forge
The Laconian Forge is an oil-fired forge with an operating range of 1250~F to 1,500~F. This means that it can produce a wide variety of steels and cast iron alloys. It also has some unique features such as a variable air blowout prevention system that can be adjusted according to the type of metal being forged
This forge has a fairly easy-to-use control panel that allows you to adjust the amount of air blown into the firebox at any time during operation. You can also adjust the amount of air blown out through your exhaust system, which will vary depending on the type of steel being forged.
