CNC laser cutting is a great way to cut out your parts and then turn them into something. I learned how to use a cnc laser for cutting plastic. We used it to cut parts for bike handlebars, but then we kept on using it for other things like construction, furniture and art. This can be accomplished by using the proper setting on your laser cutter
Here are some of the settings that you will need
Acceleration - This determines how fast your machine will go when it cuts through plastic. It is usually around 3200 RPMs
Cutting Speed - This determines how fast your machine will cut through the part when it is spinning at 3200 RPMs or higher. It is usually around 2500 RPMs
Feed Rate - This determines how much material gets cut at once in one pass of the blade that cuts your part. The higher this number, the faster that material will go through the machine, but there will be more wear and tear on your machine's parts because they have to move so fast; however, if you have a smaller tooling setup then this might not be an issue for you since those machines won't be moving very fast anyway.*
